Snapok + DeepSeek

Screenshot translation in Snapok is text-only by default: OCR runs on your Mac and only the recognized text goes to the model. That makes an inexpensive text model like DeepSeek a great fit.

What it powers in Snapok

Your key is stored only in the macOS Keychain and sent only to DeepSeek. Snapok has no server in between.

Set it up

  1. 1Open Snapok Settings (⌘,) → Models.
  2. 2Add a provider with the DeepSeek preset and paste your API key.
  3. 3Add the model IDs you want, then test the connection.
  4. 4Select a default model. Translate and Ask now use it.
  5. 5Choose the DeepSeek preset and paste your key.
  6. 6Keep visual context off unless your chosen model accepts images.
