How to pick a color from the screen on Mac
- 1Press ⌃⌘A to start a capture.
- 2Hover over the color you want; the magnifier zooms in.
- 3Press ⌘⌥C for HEX or ⌘⇧C for RGB.
- 4Paste it into your design tool or CSS.
HEX in one shortcut
Hover the color before selecting a region and press ⌘C, or ⌘⌥C at any time.
RGB too
Press ⌘⇧C to copy the RGB value, with or without a selection.
Coordinates included
The magnifier shows cursor coordinates, handy for measuring UI.
